How to use it
- Swipe up or down — the next palette. The feed does not end.
- Swipe left or right — a different feed. There are eight.
- Tap a band — see its name, HEX, RGB and HSL. Tap Copy to put the HEX on your clipboard.
- Press and hold — save the palette. Tap the grid button to see everything you saved.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Hue works fully without one. An account is optional, and it only does one thing: it keeps your saved palettes when you delete the app or buy a new phone.
What does signing in do, and what does it not do?
You sign in with your Apple ID, through Sign in with Apple. Hue stores Apple's user identifier for the app, plus your list of saved palettes as small numbers. That is all it stores. It does not store your email, name, photo, colors or any usage data, and it does not share anything with anyone. Without an account, Hue still generates every palette on your phone and never contacts a server.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Every palette is generated on your phone. Without an account, Hue never connects to a network. With an account, saving or fetching palettes needs a connection; everything else works offline.
Where do my saved palettes go?
They stay on your device. Without an account, if you delete the app they are gone, and we cannot restore them because we never had them. With an account, they are also kept on Hue's server, so signing in on a new phone brings them back.
How do I delete my account?
Inside the app. Open the saved list with the grid button, tap the person button in the top bar, then tap Delete account and confirm. The account and every saved palette stored under it are erased straight away, on every device you are signed in on. Nothing is kept and nothing is queued for later. If you cannot reach the app, email ozan@biaslabs.ai instead.
Can I get the same palette back?
Yes, if you saved it. Palettes are rebuilt from a small recipe, so a saved palette always looks the same.
